Body & Skin Care

Each product contains different ingredients. We recommend referring to individual product details on our website or on the product packaging to find relevant ingredients and usage instructions.

Our Collections are designed to be safe on all skin types and are free from parabens, sulphates, propylene glycol, silicone and artificial colours. If you have sensitive skin we recommend patch testing before use. Should you have any further questions, please email

It is unlikely for a person with a gluten intolerance to have a reaction to a skincare product since gluten can only be absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract. However, some people do have wheat allergies that may cause them to have skin sensitivities and this also applies to people who have nut and soy allergies. Most of our bodycare products contain Almond, Macadamia and other Nut oils. The extraction method for these ingredients removes allergy-causing proteins, but we cannot guarantee that all of the residues are removed. Therefore, if you have a gluten intolerance, wheat allergies, nut or soy allergies, we recommend that you patch test first or consult with your medical practitioner before using any of our products and refer to the ingredients list. None of the products in the Trelivings range contain dairy.

All ingredients have the potential to irritate sensitive skin, even products used successfully for many years. If you experience an adverse reaction to any product, the best course of action is to immediately discontinue use and if necessary, consult your medical practitioner to establish whether you have experienced an irritation or an allergy. Do not hesitate to contact us with the details of your reaction.

Please refer to our Returns Policy for further information regarding the conditions of return and exchange.

Trelivings do not test any of our products on animals. We aim to ensure that all of our components are ethically and responsibly sourced wherever possible. Trelivings also supports the protection of bees for biodiversity and a healthy ecosystem.

We are meticulous in selecting and sourcing ingredients at the highest quality for our products. Our first considerations are always the welfare of the natural environment and the safety of our customers.

During the development process, Trelivings products undergo a series of rigorous and stringent tests to evaluate safety, stability and efficacy. This includes cumulative irritancy testing on human volunteers. We then go through a rigorous process to ensure that all components are ethically and sustainably sourced wherever possible.

Our facial products, Daily Facial Cleanser and Daily Facial Crème, have been specifically formulated with a natural fragrance to reduce the possibility of irritation for those with sensitive skin.

However, all ingredients have the potential to irritate sensitive skin, even products used successfully for many years. If you experience an adverse reaction to any product, the best course of action is to immediately discontinue use and, if necessary, consult your medical practitioner.

We recommend you keep your products in a cool place away from direct light and heat. This advice applies for all Trelivings products, regardless of whether they are contained in glass, plastic or aluminium.

It is best to use clean hands when dipping into your jar, or to use a teaspoon or small spatula to scoop out product for use. Please note that we cannot guarantee product if you break the hygienic seal, as it can lead to contamination.

The ‘best before’ measure of your Trelivings product is determined by the time of opening. This differs across each product. For example, on some of our bodycare products there is an icon which tells you how many months your product will be at its best from time of opening. For example, 6M equals 6 months from date of opening. However, across our home fragrance products this icon is not displayed. If you are unable to locate the icon, please contact and we can provide you with further detail.

Our diffusers are carefully packaged to ensure the oil from the diffuser does not spill. There are instructions on the back of each diffuser box - these are:

Remove cap and insert reeds into the glass decanter. Allow the reeds to absorb the fragrance for about five minutes, then rotate the reeds upside down to allow them to release their delightful aroma. Rotate the reeds at least twice a week for best result.

Trelivings diffusers are delicately hand poured into our custom designed glass. To ensure the high quality remains, we do not sell refills. After six to eight months, your reeds will need to be replaced and we recommend that you purchase a new diffuser. When your diffuser has reached the end of its useful life, you can remove any remaining liquid and rinse with hot water. The jar can then be used for a multitude of purposes in your home. They can also be recycled.

You may see some discolouration in your diffuser liquid over time or after it has been opened. It does not mean your product is faulty. It is completely normal for the fragrance in the diffuser to respond and react with the oxygen in the air to produce a slight colour variation. This shouldn't cause any problems with the performance. Direct sunlight can also contribute to discolouration of diffuser liquid - please ensure your diffuser is kept out of direct sunlight, heat and drafts. We recommend that diffuser sticks are not left touching any surface as damage may occur.

Our diffusers will last, once opened, between three to four months. In the first week of using your diffuser it is normal for the liquid to drop as your reeds absorb the liquid and the fragrance releases via evaporating in the air. Other factors can also impact the evaporation rate, including how often you flip the reeds, if the diffuser is in any direct sunlight, or near an open window, fan or air conditioning.

Our candles are made from natural soy blend wax to maximise the fragrance. They have lead-free cotton wicks for a longer, cleaner and more environmentally friendly burn.

Black residue may appear on the inside glass of your candle if the wicks are too long and have not been trimmed between burning. Always ensure the wick is upright and trimmed to 5mm before each burn in order to prevent the candle emitting carbon (the black residue). The black residue can easily be removed with a damp towel or cloth.

In some cases, this can happen if there wasn't enough wax left to absorb the heat of the flame. This can cause the glass to crack after an extended period. To prevent this, we recommend that you stop burning when there is 10mm of unmelted wax remaining in the candle. In other cases, this may happen when the wicks travel and come in contact with the glass. This can happen if the candle has been burning longer than the recommended burning time, as the wax pool increases and the wicks become less stable and can move towards the glass. We recommend you adhere to the care instructions on the base of each Trelivings candle.
